However, a move from the deadline in Liverpool collapsed even if the two clubs had agreed. The player also suffered his doctor with the Premier League champions. Crystal Palace hit the branch on the agreement after failing to fill a replacement for him.

According to TBR Football, several clubs are now monitoring his situation, and they could try to take a step for him at the end of the season. He will be a free agent in summer, and sign a player of his quality on a free transfer can be quite attractive.
According to the report, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham could now join the intense race to sign the 25 -year -old English international. Liverpool should also come back for him. It will be interesting to see where the player ends.
Chelsea looked quite vulnerable defensively last season, and they have to improve in this area of the field. Bringing back their old academy to the club could be ideal. It would be an upgrading of some of their current options.
