Charlie Kirk died after being killed by the Utah event, says Donald Trump

Charlie Kirk, the co-founder of Turning Point USA and one of the most influential activists on the right, died after being shot in a Utah rally today, wrote President Donald Trump on his social media platform.

Kirk was 31 years old.

Trump wrote: “The big, and even legendary, Charlie Kirk, died. No one understood or had the hearts of young people in America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by all, especially me, and now he is no longer with us. Melania and my sympathies go to her beautiful wife Erika, and to the family. Charlie, we love you! ”

Kirk, one of the most eminent influencers and podcasters in the right social media, was also recognized for mobilizing young voters of Trump’s re -election offer. He was on university campus tour, the last being an appearance at the University of Utah Valley.

The shooting video showed that Kirk was speaking during a major outdoor event on the university field. Then he went backwards while the blood flowed from his neck.

Within two hours preceding Trump’s post, political leaders on both sides of the aisle condemned the shooting, an apparent act of violence against a vocal activist on the right. Messages had a common theme: at a time of deep division in the country, violence has no place.

The networks have covered the shooting since the first reports emerged at 2 p.m. he.
