Chapel Hill accident injures 4, power restored to 175 Duke Energy customers :: WRAL.com

Four people were injured after crashing into a utility pole Monday evening along Weaver Dairy Extension, according to the Chapel Hill Police Department.
Crews restored power shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday to about 175 Duke Energy customers, according to the utility’s outage map. The power outage lasted just under eight hours.
Police said a car hit a utility pole around 10 p.m. Monday on Weaver Dairy Extension, between Palafox Drive and Rowe Road. The driver and three passengers were taken to hospital. Their lives are not in danger.
The WRAL Breaking News Tracker captured video of crews replacing a utility pole and attaching power lines. Around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, the city of Chapel Hill said crews reopened the Weaver Dairy extension between Palafox Drive and Rowe Road. The area was closed for several hours to make repairs.
The damaged pole appears to be on a bend in the road.
Chapel Hill police said officers are investigating what caused the crash.
