Celebrities with Lyme disease

In his Netflix documentary Not just a girlThe legend of country music, Shania Twain, spoke of her scary fight with Lyme disease, which occurred as it turned in the early 2000s and had an impact on its vocal cords and its ability to sing.
“I was on horseback and I was bitten by a tick. The checkout was infected with Lyme disease,” said Twain. “My symptoms were quite frightening, because before being diagnosed, I was on stage very dizzy, I lost my balance, I was afraid that I went from the scene. I had these very, very millisecond breakdowns, but regularly – every minute or every 30 seconds,” said Twain, according to Twain Today.
In an interview in 2020 on the British talk show Cowardly womenTwain said it had taken doctors for seven years to realize that changes in his voice were due to nerve lesions to his vocal cords caused by Lyme disease.
“Our voices are a large part of our self-expression, and for a singer, it is devastating in many ways,” she shared. “Until I arrived at the bottom of the reasons why I had a problem with my voice, there was not much that I could do it on this subject, and it took a long time. Fortunately, I persevered, and I do records again and I put concerts.”
