CBS prohibits the editing of “Face The Nation” interviews after the complaints of Kristi Noem

A few days after complaints concerning the treatment of an interview with internal security secretary Kristi Noem on “Face The Nation”, CBS News said on Friday that he would no longer allow the modes of his guests during the public affairs program on Sunday morning.
Noem accused that CBS “shamefully published the interview for Whitewash the Truth” about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, whose erroneous expulsion towards El Salvador made him a symbol of controversies on the repression of the immigration of President Donald Trump. His interview had been recorded in advance.
In the future, CBS said that it would only broadcast interviews live or live on the show, which means that the declarations of the guests could not be published, subject to legal or national security restrictions. CBS said the change had been made “in response to public comments”.
The Network news division is closely monitored for the way he deals with the Trump administration following the recent approval by the FCC for the takeover of his parent company by Skydance Media. Shortly before the sale of a global paramount in Skydance was given, Paramount paid $ 16 million to settle a legal action by Trump on a “60 -minute” interview with the Democratic candidate for the presidential election Kamala Harris.
CBS said he had published four minutes from his Noem interview for the time. On social networks, Noem focused on an excised clip where she made an unproven series of accusations about Abrego Garcia, who, according to her, underlines “the threat he represents for American public security”.
CBS News noted that the interview not published had been published on its website and on YouTube, but that did not stop complaints.
Like the “60 -minute” settlement, the change of policy opens CBS news to the accusations that he is capitulating in Trump. During an interview Tuesday with the caller daily, the press secretary of the White House, Karoline Leavitt, called the host “Face The Nation” Margaret Brennan “Stupid”.
The new policy also raises the possibility that “facing the nation” allowed customers to spread uncontrolled lies in the program. But Brennan will always be able to verify or challenge the complaints made by interview subjects, said an employee of CBS News familiar with the change that has maintained anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss it publicly.
In his announcement, CBS News said that politics will allow “greater transparency” in interviews.
The case which caused Trump’s trial also involved “facing the nation”. The president accused the deception network because various clips broadcast on “60 minutes” and “facing the nation” last fall showed that Harris gave different answers to a question posed by the correspondent Bill Whitaker.
