The rock & The member of the Roll Hall of Fame was toured to support his book, “Cat on the road to-ringout”, which will be released in the United States on October 7 and was made available in the UK earlier this month. The release of the book will not be impacted, wrote Stevens, noting that “books do not need a visas!”
Stevens is the last in a series of international musicians and athletes affected by visa problems, as costs have increased in the past year and treatment times have slowed down.
Stevens wrote that his team waited for months for visa approvals, but “at this stage, the production logistics necessary for my program cannot be organized in time.”
“I’m really upset!” Stevens wrote on social networks. “At the slightest for my fans who bought tickets and made travel plans to see me play.”
Stevens representatives did not immediately respond to the request for comments from the Associated Press.
The singer’s tour was to start on October 2 in Philadelphia and experienced various judgments planned across the country for the rest of the month. His stop on the October 8 tour in Toronto, Canada, was also postponed.
The British singer-songwriter became famous in the 1960s and suspended his career for two decades after converting Islam in the late 1970s. He returned to secular music in the 2000s and did a concert tour in North America in 2014.
Stevens said the tour could be reprogrammed if the visas are approved, but these dates “would be a while because of the other travel fans,” he wrote.
The tour, announced in May, was described as a “portal” in the singer’s universe, offering an in -depth conversation on the memories and acoustic performance of certain songs, according to the website. Stevens began the tour by visiting several cities in the United Kingdom in September.
Stevens wrote: “Hopefully fans will be able to get on the road to the peace train at some point in the future.”
