Cat animation “Scotty” acquired by Skyline Media, Bows at Busan Market

The Skyline Media of Vietnam will present its latest acquisition, the animated feature film “Scotty”, on the Asian content of content and cinema in Busan.
Family animation focuses on the partnership between Scotty, a homeless feline, and Katie, a domesticated cat, while navigating obstacles when searching for the house. The project required six years of development and involved more than 300 artists in its creation.
Vocal talent includes Penelope Rawlins, known for “Peppa Pig Tales”, alongside William Hope (“Aliens”), Stuart Milligan (“Wonder Woman 1984”), Dario Coates (“You”) and Jessica Preddy (“Greta”).
“Scotty” joins a larger collection of Skyline titles will be presented to ACFM, ranging from horror and thriller to cybercriminal and black comedy projects.
Skyline has positioned itself as a key player in the distribution of content from Southeast Asia, managing more than 800 world titles for the Vietnamese exit while representing more than 150 regional productions for international sales in more than 50 territories.
The recent slate of the company includes “The Ancestral Home” by Huynh Lap, the most profitable spiritual film in Vietnam of all time; “The Real Sister” by Khuong Ngoc, one of the largest family dramas in Vietnam in 2024; “The Fatal Dealz”, the first thriller of Vietnam focused on high technology and fraud led by AI; “Gemini”, the first horror film of Vietnam centered on twins in the uterus; “The silent game”, a thriller exploring body shame and the dangers of social media; “The Bride”, a co-production of Thailand-Vietnam on a haunted wedding dress; “Before”, a Cambodian horror presents itself on an ancestral spirit threatening the generations of a family; And “Hoang Thuy Linh: Vietnamese concert film”, documenting the performance defining the career of the pop sensation known on a global scale for its viral hit “See Tình”.
The market takes place from September 20 to 23 at the installation of Buxco de Busan.
