Carmelo Anthony joins NBC Sports as an NBA analyst

Carmelo Anthony joins the list of NBC Sports and Peacock as a studio analyst for the revitalized NBA coverage of the network.
Appearing on Saturday on the coverage of NBC Sports of Kentucky Derby, the 10x NBA All-Star announced that it should be in the studio one or more nights per week from October, reporting the 2025-26 season throughout the playoffs.
“A new chapter begins @nbaonnbc this fall,” wrote Anthony on X with a video teasing his new concert.
After more than two decades on other networks, NBA returns to NBC this fall. Anthony recalled the influence of network coverage on him when he was a child.
“Looking at the NBC on growing NBC has shaped my love for the game,” he said. “Now, I am delighted to join the NBC sports family. I have always used my platform to help develop the game, and I am delighted to bring fans a new perspective when we inaugurate a new era of NBA cover and programming.”
During the broadcast on Saturday, Anthony said that it was the happiest to “build a team, to return to an aspect focused on the team”, following the news that Jamal Crawford and Reggie Miller will join the NBA on analysts of the NBC game. Mike Tirico and Noah Eagle will also serve as Play-By-Play analysts.
“Talking the game, talking about the game, determining what is the” why “about what many people do, what many players do in the game,” added Anthony. “The match in the match, I think, must be heard.”
Anthony, who was drafted as the choice of first round of the Denver Nuggets in 2003, ended his career of 19 NBA seasons in 2022 with the Los Angeles Lakers. Since his retirement, he has continued to discuss the League on his 7 p.m. in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony podcast.
