Can your iPhone work iOS 26? Check our full list of compatible phones

With iOS 26 available for download now, the big question for many is: can my iPhone run it? The update, initially revealed during the Apple event in September, is full of exciting upgrades, a “liquid glass” interface redesigned to search for smarter visual intelligence that will change the way you are looking for and screen the calls.
However, not all iPhone will cut. Because iOS 26 requires the power of the bionic chip A13 or more recent, some older popular models will unfortunately be left behind. Before public release, it is a good idea to check if your device appears on the official compatibility list. Find out below if your iPhone supports the iOS 26 update.

Each iPhone that will get iOS 26
The phones that have stopped this year are the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR.
When the iPhone 17 will be released later this year, it will be responsible for iOS 26.
Tête-à-tête: Apple Intelligence is not for everyone
Although all the above models can install iOS 26, Apple Intelligence requires more robust equipment. Features such as Genmoji, Playground Image and the new search for visual intelligence only work:
- iPhone 15 pro and 15 pro max
- IPhone 16 models
- IPhone 17 models
If you are on an older device, you will always get all design changes and daily updates, but nothing involving Apple intelligence.

You don’t know which iPhone you have?
On your iPhone, go to Settings> General> About And look at the name of the model. If your phone is not on the compatibility list, it will continue to receive iOS 18 security fixes for a while, but you will not see any of the new features of iOS 26.
