Can the Indian team find a Hardik Panyda type all-rounder from IPL 2026?

From Suryansh Sheedge to Mangesh Yadav, many fast bowling all-rounders will be looking to make the Indian team.

The Indian cricket team will be closely monitoring the fast bowling all-rounders in the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026), especially the uncapped Indian players. The search for Hardik Pandya’s replacement and replacement is still on and over the years, the Indian team management has failed to find a suitable option despite the enormous talent competing in this cash-rich league. As of now, the closest replacement option for Hardik is SRH all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy.

From PBKS’s retained player Suryansh Shedge to RCB’s latest recruit Mangesh Yadav, many fast bowling all-rounders will be looking to break into the Indian cricket team via their performances in the IPL 2026. Ahead of the next edition of the tournament, let’s take a look at some of the potential candidates.

IPL 2026 all-rounders to watch out for

1. Aman Khan (CSK)

The right-hander made his IPL debut in 2022 and played 1 match for KKR initially followed by 11 matches for DC in 2023. Although he did not take any wickets, he managed to score 110 runs. Aman has decent experience in T20s, with 500 runs in 32 matches at an average of 20.83 and 10 wickets at an average of 29.80. He was last seen in action for Puducherry in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

2. Mangesh Yadav (RCB)

A useful all-rounder from Madhya Pradesh, Mangesh has impressed in the Madhya Pradesh Premier League (MPL), picking up 14 wickets in 6 matches at an average of 12. He is also an economical option, having conceded only 168 runs out of the 126 he bowled in the tournament. Yadav also has the ability to hit over 200, making him a handy all-round option for Team India and RCB in the future.

3. Suryansh Shed (PBKS)

A talent from Mumbai who has been creating waves with his performances in the domestic circuit over the last 12 months or so, the all-rounder has shown promise with both the bat and the ball. He has 198 runs and 13 wickets from 23 T20s. In IPL 2025, he got limited opportunities for PBKS and scored only 7 runs. However, Shedge has been retained by the IPL and hopes to get more opportunities in 2026. He has already come under the lens of national selectors and played for India A. A call-up to the senior team is not far away.

4. Arshin Kulkarni (LSG)

The 20-year-old only warmed the bench in IPL 2025 despite his immense overall potential. In 2024, he only played 2 matches for LSG. Like Shedge, Kulkarni is a promising all-rounder who has 549 runs from 21 T20s and 12 wickets. He continues to be a mainstay of the Maharashtra team in all white-ball formats and will be hoping to get more chances in the IPL 2026, aiming to break into the Indian team.

5. Arjun Tendulkar (LSG)

Although he possesses talent and has improved over the years, Sachin Tendulkar’s son has been severely underutilized by Mumbai Indians over the years. He has now been traded to LSG in an all-cash deal where he hopes to get more chances. Late, Arjun impressed with the ball more than with the bat for Goa in the Ranji Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Talking about his T20 statistics, he has 804 runs and 189 wickets from 29 T20s and averages 13.50 with the ball.

6. Arshad Khan (GT)

The left-arm all-rounder from Madhya Pradesh has played for MI, LSG and GT in the past and has 12 wickets to his name. He has been retained by the Titans for IPL 2026. Like Tendulkar, Khan boasts of a superior record with the ball than with the bat in T20s, having taken 226 wickets in 30 matches at an average of 18.83.

7. Ramakrishna Ghosh (CSK)

The Maharashtra all-rounder was part of the CSK camp and was retained ahead of IPL 2026 but failed to make his debut. He has 45 wickets from 9 T20s and averages 9 with the ball. Further opportunities would surely allow Ghosh to attract attention and possibly come under the lens of national selectors.

8. Raj Bawa (MI)

Raj Bawa made his IPL debut with PBKS in 2022 and then moved to MI in 2025 where he played only 5 matches. He has 381 runs at an average of 27.21 and 24 wickets in 25 T20s.
