Can Dama resuscitate the old Negan?

Publisher’s note: The summary below contains spoilers for The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 Episode 2.

After a two -year interruption, The Walking Dead: Dead City returned to AMC last week. The first episode saw Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) In different places, a contrast from the first season when the two fought together to save Maggie’s son, Hershel (Logan Kim), in the ruins of New York. “Power Equals Power” reveals that Maggie found Hershel in their community and trying to adapt, but their link is interrupted by the arrival of New Babylon, who, in their intimidating (and murderous) recruitment of soldiers to go to Manhattan, ends with Maggie agrees to support them so that others are spared.

Meanwhile, Negan is still in the Big Apple, a Dama prisoner (Lisa Emery) and the Croat (Zeljko Ivanek),, who wants to bring the negan of old to intimidate other groups to fight with them against New Babylon. While the episode ends, Maggie is on the way back, and something seems with his son. What will happen in episode 2, “another shit lesson”?

Maggie begs New Babylon to go back in episode 2 of `The Walking Dead: Dead City ”

The episode begins with Negan alone in its open cell when Victor (Logan jewelry) stops. Negan is sad and calm, without humor to speak for once, but Victor sits with him and plays his violin, bringing peace to Negan. Armstrong is trying to find common ground, suggesting that if they move forward this evening instead, they can surprise the Croat. A frustrated Maggie asks why she was brought if no one wants to listen to her. Maggie wants to leave, but Narvaez threatens to hang her, she and Hershel, leading to the major by punching the face. The mother and the son are then taken prisoner, held alone on the ground floor of the ferry.

Croat’s men, including a Negan glum, are preparing for their attack. As everyone panic, a Ginny calm saves Maggie and Hershel. The boy is frozen with fear, but Maggie concentrates it as they run at the top and begin to release a small lifeboat. It was then that the bombs, commanded by Negan, started to fall, killing Charlie Byrd and easily destroying the ferry. Maggie was right. New Babylon likes to play as a soldiers, but they don’t know what they are doing. Negan smiled at its accomplishment until he sees Hershel on an escape boat. This makes him hesitate, allowing enough time to spend before ordering the last bomb to fly. The Croatian sees everything.

Back to church, the Dama is enthusiastic about victory. Two of his men attract a ferry survivor, Benjamin Pierce (Keir Gilchrist), who is the historian of New Babylon. Pierce thinks he recognizes Dama in one way or another, who decides to let Pierce live for the moment. By turning from him, she asks Negan who he was trying to save on the ferry. It was then that Victor enters. Negan immediately goes from glum to worried, telling Dama to take everything it provides. He can only watch the Dama ask Victor to play his violin for them. The musician does as he said, playing beautifully despite his fear. Negan tries to stop what will happen with half a truth, telling Dama that he had blocked to save a child at random, but he pushed back to his chair. When the music stops, Dama congratulates Victor for his talent, making him smile proudly, before blurring a pen deeply in his neckThe killing. Negan saved a life, which then cost another.

Ferry survivors, forced to flee by a group of walkers, rest in an alley in Manhattan, but with approaching engines, Maggie tells them that they need to hide, and she only knows the place. Mother and her son then got a single moment, when Hershel apologizes and Maggie cries while a rude Ginny looks. The girl then checks to make sure that the weapon she brought is still in her backpack because she has her own plans. Surprisingly, the new Babylon troops listen to Maggie, and as the episode ends, The survivors enter the tall grass of a neglected central park. What will they find inside?
