Caitlin Clark makes heartbreaking admission in the middle of an injury
Indiana fever welcomed the all-star Caitlin Clark goalkeeper with a departure alignment after missing five games.
Despite his return to programming, the fever was released against the Valkyries of Golden State and suffered a defeat of 80-61 while falling at 9-10 this season. Clark managed 10 points out of 4 out of 12 shots with six assists and five rebounds in his first match since his injury to the groin on June 24.

“It was good to be there. It will take me a second to recover my wind,” said Clark after the loss. “There is nothing that can reproduce a real game … I tried to play shorter stays, but sometimes it is almost more difficult to sit on the bench and come in the game. It is sort of finding a balance. I just try to put my legs under me.”
Before the match, Clark admitted that he was “obviously hard to sit” with his second injury of the season. “It was so difficult because I have never experienced this before,” she said.

Earlier this season, Clark underwent a quadruple injury during the defeat of 90-88 fever against New York freedom on May 24 and then missed five games. After missing 10 of the 19 team games this season, the reigning of the WNBA’s title year has admitted how mentally the 2025 campaign with its two important injuries.

“It’s honestly difficult, I’m not going to lie to you. It’s hard to prepare for the games, but knowing that you are not playing in it,” said Clark on Wednesday. “It challenged me mentally. It is really difficult to stop and go, stop and go, stop and leave, especially when you do not feel best. Just try to get my body as healthy as possible and stay confident in me.”
Indiana will try to bounce back from her 10th defeat of the season when she faces Atlanta’s dream on July 11. It will be the fourth meeting between the two teams this season with the dream having an advantage of 2-1.
