The CAA announced the programming of the tenth edition of the CAA Moebius film festival, a series of two -day projections presenting filmmakers of graduate students, which should take place from May 28 to 29.

This year’s programming includes 10 short films, through live action and animation, selected from more than 170 submissions, the ever ever made for the festival. The themes explored, in genres ranging from theater to comedy, including horror, include self-activation, the transition to adulthood and the family. This year, the University of Columbia will be represented for the first time at the festival, alongside return institutions such as Chapman University, the AFI Conservatory, the NYU, the National School and television of England and Calast.

Since its foundation in 2015, Moebius has played a role in the careers in development of filmmakers like Felipe Vargas (Rosario), Oran Zegman (Honor company), Max Barbakow (Palm Springs), to name just a few. Designed by the cinematographic agents of the time and now cinematographic agents of the CAA, Christina Chou, Zach Kaplan and Pete Stein, with Lingie Park, Moebius is organized by a team of young leaders through the agency, notably Odessa Chiklis, Olivia Guevara, Sidney Jet, Brendan Kim, Jessica Lex, Cameron Mendez, SANDARYA, Lexy Torrington, Jordyn Walker and Nick Wnuk.

“Achieving our tenth year is an important step that talks about the power and promise of emerging filmmakers,” said Chou, Kaplan and Stein in a joint statement. “With each edition, Moebius continues to grow on a scale and within reach, and this year’s submissions reflect a world range of voices, daring ideas and cinematographic vision.
