Bukayo Saka will miss “a few weeks” but will not require surgery on the left hamstiff injury he suffered in the victory of Arsenal against Leeds on Saturday.
The English winger was removed during the second half of the Daniel Farke team 5-0 and there had been fears that he could face a rehearsal of the absence of three and a half months that he endured last season.
But the boss Mikel Arteta confirmed at lunch time that Saka will not need to go under the knife and should be back in September or October.
Speaking before Sunday’s trip to Liverpool, the boss of the Gunners said: “Bukayo is better, but he will be released for a few weeks. No surgery.
