Buffalo8 acquires the global rights of the “Lord Curzon Ki Haveli of India

American Film and Media Company Buffalo8 acquired international distribution rights to “Lord Curzon Ki Haveli” (Manor by Lord Curzon) marking the first Indian feature film to transport the company’s banner to North America.

The Thriller de la Comédie Noire, which represents the beginnings of director of the actor-Filmaker Anshuman Jha, drew the attention of the distributor during his European first at Razor Reel Flanders in Belgium, the main European Film Festival.

Buffalo8, the company behind “Rodney King” by Spike Lee and “Conversations with a killer: the Jeffrey Dahmer bands”, sees this acquisition as part of its wider strategy to extend its gender imprint on international markets.

“The manor of Lord Curzon” is a fascinating story that folds cultural and historical accounts with a unique perspective, “said Grady Craig, president of Buffalo8.” This first director successfully offers a mixture of genres of black comedy and thriller, which is a rare combination for Indian cinema. We are delighted with the ability of the film to resonate in various audiences. “

The tribute to Hitchcockian presents an impressive whole set including the nominated at the Emmy International Arjun Mathur, Rasika Dugal, Paresh Pahuja, Tanmay Dhanania and Zoha Rahman. Located during a mysterious dinner in London, the film combines suspense, satire and social comments.

“We are delighted to associate ourselves with Buffalo8 for the North American release of” Lord Curzon Ki Haveli, “said director Jha. “Their commitment to daring and original voices and the cinema growing in the perfect house for this film.”

He added: “” Lord Curzon Ki Haveli “is a truly unique cinematographic experience – the one that questions the way films are perceived in India and reshaped the way Indian cinema is seen on a global scale. Buffalo8 on board is more than a simple acquisition; it is a powerful reaffirmation than daring and original ideas and a distinctive narration have a place on the world scene.”

Produced by Golden Ratio Films, First Ray Films and Adya Films, “Lord Curzon Ki Haveli” recently received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) of India and should be released in North American theaters later this year. Other distribution details are coming.
