Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty Brand Is Worth $2.7 Billion: Fortune

Selena Gomez knows what is good for business.
Since the Only murders in the building star launched her Rare Beauty cosmetics line in 2020, the brand’s revenue has continued to skyrocket, officially making Selena a billionaire in September 2024.
And Rare Beauty’s profitability has continued to increase the company’s value, with an estimated valuation of $2.7 billion, according to Fortune review.
But the line’s success certainly wasn’t a given when it hit the market, as skeptics wondered whether Selena’s celebrity status would translate into strong sales. In fact, the “Single Soon” singer recently recalled encountering pushback when she began growing the business.
“A lot of people have preconceived ideas about what I’m good at, and I should stay in my lane,” the 33-year-old said at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit in Washington, DC, on Oct. 15. “But what I’m here to do is make a difference.”
