Broncos’ Justin Strnad fined for sequence that led to Dre Greenlaw’s suspension

The Broncos inside the linebacker room paid a high price for the sequence that immediately followed Wil Lutz’s 39-yard field goal Sunday against the New York Giants.
Dr. Greenlaw, of course, was hit with a one-game suspension for chasing and verbally threatening referee Brad Allen, according to the NFL, which was upheld on appeal. He won’t play Sunday against Dallas and is out $292,778 by combining a game check and a $90,000 per game bonus.
However, he is not the only one concerned.
ILB Justin Strnad was also fined $15,546 for “making contact” with Allen after the game, the NFL announced Saturday. NFL Vice President of Football Administration Troy Vincent reported earlier this week that Strnad would face a fine. The amount is now known.
So the grand total for Denver’s inside linebacker room: $308,324 plus a missed game for Greenlaw.
Turner. Also Saturday, the Broncos elevated linebacker Jordan Turner from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. Denver is down two ILBs with Greenlaw suspended and Garret Wallow on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.
Turner is the third inside linebacker to be elevated to the practice squad already this season, joining Levelle Bailey and Wallow before being promoted to the 53-man roster.
