The former Manchester United coach, René Meulesteen, suggested that the former midfielder of Devils Michael Carrick could be an ideal option to replace Ruben Amorim as a manager.
Carrick is not currently in work, but had a spell as a goalkeeper manager at Man Utd between the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the appointment of Ralf Rangnick as an acting manager.
The 44 -year -old has since had a fate of Middlesbrough in the championship, and he first impressed before losing his job after a disappointing 10th place last season.
Meulensteen clearly knows Carrick well because he was one of Sir Alex Ferguson’s staff while the former English international was a star player at Old Trafford, while Carrick will also know a large part of this current team of his stay in coaches.
Addressing Betvictor, as quoted by the Daily Mail, Colesteen explained why he thought that Carrick could be the best candidate to replace the Amorim in difficulty.
Michael Carrick will be the next Manchester United manager?
Discussing Carrick’s references, Meulensteen said: “Michael Carrick could be the obvious option if Ruben Amorim wants to go.
“Obviously, Michael Carrick still knows a lot of players who were there when he was there. So he always has good interior information. He obviously knows the club.
“But the key is that you must have a guy who obviously has a clear idea but sets up a kind of structure in which players adhere and that you get a spark of the players. Because they are not bad players, there are a lot of good players there.
“I’m sure they would play in a system that suits them, they really play at best. I think you might see a fantastic Manchester United. Maybe Michael may well be the guy.
“It is not magical. It’s more common sense than everything, it’s all and Carrick has a lot. ”
Is it time for United to return Ruben Amorim?

It remains to be seen how much Amorim will be given more and more at United, but things are not doing well.
The Portuguese tactician impressed by the former Sporting Lisbon club, so there may be an argument that he needs a little more time, because it is a major step towards a club with more pressure and competition in a much more competitive league.
However, the MUFC is not the kind of club that can afford to wait too long, and it seems clear now that the results and performance simply do not occur with the way Amorim has set up its team.
Carrick could be more in tune with the kind of style that would succeed in United, but he would also be a bet because of his lack of relative experience.
