The Jofra Archer test test on the cards

Before the second test match against India in Edgbaston in Birmingham, the England Cricket Board and Wales (ECB) announced the addition of the 30 -year -old bravo, the right arm Jofra Archer to the test team.

It was the first time that Acher has been going to the test team in England since March 2021, with his last Red Ball Exit in International Cricket in February 2021 during the match against India at Stade Narendra Moda in Ahmedabad.

The constant elbow of Jofra Archer and the back injuries forced her to miss many games and kept her completely away from the test configuration in England for a few years.

However, he recently returned to first -class cricket for Sussex in the county championship against Durham, where he gave up 18 overs and picked up a counter. In addition, with the bat, he contributed 31 points in this match.

Jofra Archer has so far represented the National Cricket National Team of England in 13 test games and won 42 counters at an average of 31.04, with the best bowling figures in the 8/85 match.

He is in good shape and ready to leave – Brendon McCullum

In an interaction on the BBC Test Match special after the embarrassing defeat of 336 points from England, the head coach, Brendon McCullum, was invited to make selection decisions for the third test. He replied:

“No, not yet. We are going to let it settle down and when we arrive at the head office, we will think about it.”

However, Brendon McCullum also suggested that they were trying to add the “Jofra Archer” in shape and ready “to the XI for the Lord’s test. He said:

“He is in good shape and ready to leave and, obviously, the other boys have experienced two test games on the rotation now, so you plan that you would make a change at some point with the range and Jofra is the one we will examine.”

Both played exceptionally well – Brendon McCullum

Although England had a nightmare outing in the Edgbaston test, two players shining for them were Jamie Smith (184 * and 88) and Harry Brook (158 and 23).

Brendon McCullum praised Harry Brook and Jamie Smith more for having played exceptionally well in the Edgbaston test. He said:

“Two very simple players. They have good configurations, good techniques, and they like to hit the ball and put pressure on the opposition. It is easy to do when you are well in front of the game, but when you are 80-5, to stay faithful to your policy and stay faithful to your game to give you the best shows of luck, they are not mentally strong.

“We ran second for five days. I thought India played exceptionally well. Shubman Gill was at an elite level and played brilliantly on this ground. We were not entirely able to play as we wanted and they really deserved to win,” he added.
