Taylor Swift recently bought the rights of his first six albums after a long battle

The music magnate The Braun scooter said it was “shocked” by the “deeply unfair” reaction of Taylor Swift when he acquired the rights of his first six studio albums.

Braun said he thought that the purchase of the former Swift label in 2019 would be an “exciting thing”.

But in a post Tumblr published shortly after the sale, the singer said that she was “sad and tasted” by her master recordings controlled by Braun, which she accused of “incessant manipulative intimidation”.

Last month, the Star of the United States announced that it had bought the rights to its music in an agreement with the investment capital company which had acquired them from Braun in 2020.

The Braun scooter said that he “could not care about the niece flight of everyone”

On Monday, Braun told Podcast Diary of A CEO: “When I bought Big Machine, I thought I was going to work with all the artists on Big Machine. I thought it was going to be an exciting thing.”

He had previously met Swift three or four times, including an opportunity when she “invited me to a private party and we were,” he said.

“Between this time, since I had seen her for the last time, I started to manage Kanye West, I succeeded Justin Bieber. I knew she was not getting along with them.”

Braun said he thought there could be a problem given the story of Swift with West and Bieber.

West stole the SWIFT Thunder at the MTV Awards 2009 arriving on stage during his acceptance speech. The rumors on Swift and Bieber did not take place circulated for years and started before the Braun company purchased its main recordings.

Braun, who is now retired from talent management, explained: “I had a feeling – this is where my arrogance arrived – I had the feeling that she probably did not love me because I managed them. But I thought that once this announcement would happen, she was talking to me, saw who I am and that we were working together.”

He said he had spoken to other artists signed with Big Machine, who were “excited”, and who was also to call Swift.

“And then this tumblr [post] Get out and say it all. And I was fair, like shocked. “”

He said experience taught him that “everything in life is a gift”.

“Having this experience allows me to have empathy for the people I worked with with whom I would always say:” Yeah I understand “, but I did not know what it was to be on the world stage like that.

“I never knew what criticism looked like. And as I told you, the biggest gift I got to be understood that all the praise I had received until this moment did not deserve, and all the hatred that I obtained after this moment was not deserved, because none of these people knew me. She did not know me.”

He decided to sell the rights and reconciled that the public’s reaction was out of his hands. “I can’t worry that everyone’s niece is angry with me,” he said.

The BBC contacted Swift representatives to comment.

Taylor versions

Swift recently bought the rights of his first six albums – Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and reputation – ending the longtime battle on the property of his music.

It is not known how fast it has been to acquire its masters, but the catalog previously sold for $ 300 million (222 million pounds sterling) in 2020. The BBC understands that the rumors it paid between 600 and 1 billion dollars are inaccurate.

“All the music I have ever made now belongs to me,” said the star, announcing the news on her website recently. “I have melted into tears of joy … Since I discovered that it really happens.

“To say that this is my biggest dream come true is to be quite reserved for this,” she added.

Swift responded to the original sale of its masters by promising to re -record these files, effectively reduce the value of these master bands and put the property in its hands.

To date, she has published four re -recorded albums – known as “Taylor’s versions” – with dozens of bonus tracks and additional equipment.
