Brad Pitt says the media focuses on personal life is “annoyance”

Brad Pitt adorns the latest cover of GQ magazine alongside his co-star “F1” Damson Idris and producer Lewis Hamilton. The racing film arrives in theaters this summer after a longer than expected production which was closed for an entire year in the middle of the Hollywood strikes. Pitt also settled her divorce with Angelina Jolie while the shooting of “F1” ended at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.

“My personal life is still in the news,” said Pitt to the publication on filming in the midst of a public exam. “It’s in the news for 30 years, brother. Or A version of my personal life, let’s say it this way.

When asked if the filming of “F1” acted as a “refuge” of all the public’s attention around his personal life, Pitt replied: “It was a discomfort that I always had to face different, large and small degrees, because I do things that I really want to do. So I don’t always know.

“Most of the time, I feel pretty…. My life is quite contained,” added Pitt. “It’s quite warm and safe with my friends, with my loves, with my family, with my knowledge of whom I am, that, you know, it’s like this fly that burst a little.”

GQ then asked the director of Pitt if there was a “relief” now that he was “on the other side of the divorce ultimately finalized”, to whom the winner of the Oscars replied: “No, I do not think that it is this major of a thing.

Pitt and Jolie set their divorce on December 30, 2024 after eight years of disputes. Jolie’s lawyer, James Simon, said in a statement at the time: “More than eight years ago, Angelina asked for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children have left all the properties they had shared with Mr. Pitt, and since that time, she focused on finding peace and healing for their family. It was only part of a long process that started eight years ago.

The former Hollywood couple were at the center of the world’s big titles in 2016 when an alleged physical altercation between them occurred on a private plane. Pitt would have “stifled” one of his children, “struck another with the face” and “caught pretty by the head and rocked her”, according to the trial of pretty against Pitt. She asked for divorce a few days after the alleged incident.

In April 2024, Jolie’s lawyer filed a complaint that Pitt’s physical violence “started well before” the 2016 incident. Pitt accused pretty in 2022 of having violated the “contractual rights” when she sold her half of their Miraval Château cellar without her knowledge. Jolie’s lawyers retaliated on Pitt in their counter-combination, accusing him of not having allowed Joli of selling half of the cellar unless she has signed “a non-disclosure agreement which would have prohibited her from speaking outside the court of physical and emotional abuse of her and their children”.

With his personal life apparently on a more stable and “F1” ground arriving in theaters around the world at the end of June, Pitt seems to be invigorated as an actor. The Oscar winner sparked retired rumors in 2022 when he said he was on the “last stage” of his acting career, although he later said that it meant that he had several years left to explore his profession. “F1” has proven Pitt that retirement is certainly not imminent.

“Dude, I have been doing this for a while and I was wondering: do I have more stories to tell?” Do I have something to add to that? Is there still an excitement that I can find? ” Pitt said to GQ. “”[This film] I just invigorated everything for myself.

The career as an actor of Pitt will continue not only with “F1” this summer, but also of future film projects such as “Heart of the Beast”, a drama Navy Seal which brings together the actor with its director “Fury” David Ayer, and a sequence of Cliff de Hollywood “in which Pitt will resume his role Oscar de Tarantino.
