BoynextDoor on “ no genre ”, preparations lollapalooza

Boynextdoor’s energy is really contagious.
The Koz Hybo Entertainment Koz Hybe’s Koz Hybe entertainment in Zico, is only two years in their career, but seeing the Vivre group, one could imagine that they have done so. At the KCON last year, the group of boys appeared as a star among the stacked programming of the weekend.
Back with their fourth EP, No genreBoyxttdoor has found its groove – both sound and as a group. The main single of the album, “I Feel Good”, is a charismatic and groovy trip of almost three minutes. This is an example of the group of boys to their best, similar to their dynamic beginnings, “one and unique”.
While the group is preparing for their biggest scene to date – a performance slit lollapalooza – they say they are going with vapor. Below, the Boyxttdoor speaks with The Hollywood Reporter about No genrePrepare for Lollapalooza and how their teamwork has developed.
Can you tell me a little about manufacturing No genre?
Taesan For this album, we really focused on making the kind of music that we really want to do without being linked by the genre or by a specific message. We entered the process with the hope of expressing ourselves freely. It is an album that captures the carefree spirit of BoynextDoor. Instead of creating specific characters or adding detailed concepts as we did in previous albums, we continued to wonder: “What makes music just pleasant to listen to?” With this question in mind, we have plunged into the process, trying to learn and grow while we were working there.

What does the title for you mean? Why does the idea of rejecting labels suits you as a group?
Life The idea behind any kind came from our desire to be even more free. We wanted to show the world that Boyxttdoor is really. It is a reflection of this ambition, and I think that is what led us to release an album like this one. I hope that the people who listen to it can discover a new side of BoynextDoor and that they can feel the same feeling of freedom and enjoy this moment of youth with us.
Does anyone have a favorite song on the album?
Jaehyun I really love “step by step”.
Riwoo I too am a big fan of that one.
Leehan I like the most single “i feel good” the most.
Sungho For me, this is the “next error”.
“I feel good” is such a fun and confident song. You can say that you are a little more seasoned as interior and that you are more rooted with what works for you as a group. Do you think the song is a mirror this way?
Jaehyun I have the impression of showing a single side of who we are. We have definitely grew up, but rather than saying: “It is Mature Boyxttdoor”, it seems more than we revealed another of the many charms that we have always had. Of course, we will continue to work hard to show new sides of ourselves through future albums, but with “I feel good”, I think what really stands out is how fun we were. There is a line in the lyrics – “we go around and we live it like that” – and I think it really sums up the atmosphere of this song. It is a song where you can really feel our energy free of mind.
You are preparing to play Lollapaloza this summer. It is a big scene, especially given your career at the start of his career. How did you feel when you discovered that you would have played? Are you excited?
Taesan Honestly, when we heard for the first time that we would be in the process of performing in Lollapalooza, none of us might think. It was just too surreal, [it’s] As a dream come true. This is why we really give ourselves everything. One thing on which we put a lot of importance is to be able to connect with the public. We have all studied English to show our skills on stage, and we also practice to make this performance something really special.
Is there something that you are passionate about the most? Is there something you are a little nervous but working to cross?
Riwoo Lollapalooza is one of the steps that fascinate us most. Of course, there will be Onoor (Official Fandom name) Who already supports us, but we know that there will also be people who do not know us at all. This makes it even more significant. I just have the chance to show our music and our scene to a new audience, it is such an honor, and honestly, it makes it even more fun.
Boynextdoor’s latest album No genre Reflects their commitment to make the music they want, regardless of labels or genres.

Are there artists that you are excited to see?
Life Doecchii.
Jaehyun Tyler, the creator.
You have not yet had too much chance of meeting your international fans in the United States. How do you feel to have another chance of seeing them in Lollapalooza?
Sungho We recently completed our very first tour, Knock on Vol. 1 [in Asia]And something we really felt along the way is that there are so many people who support us, even in places we did not expect. With scenes to come like Lollapalooza and beyond, we really hope to meet Oneoroor in the areas that we have not been able to visit often. As they were not likely to see us in person, we assume that they have high expectations. We work very hard to be up [those expectations] With our performance.
You mentioned that communication was a large part of a performance. You obviously wanted to say with the public, but internally, as a group, how has your team work increased when you take up bigger challenges?
Leehan Even when it is not directly linked to BoynextDoor, we speak all the time and stay very close as an older. We were even tighter during our [recent] tour. When we plan a scene, propose an album title or decide on the music direction, we always bring our own ideas and talk about things. We choose the best suggestions and continue to refine them, so in the end, we find ourselves with the strongest result.
How do you hope the world sees BoynextDoor?
Taesan When people in the future come back to this era, I hope BoynextDoor is the first group that comes to mind. Not only for our fans, but for everyone, we want to be a group that feels relatable and easy to connect via our music.
Life We hope to be this friend who has always been there; Your friendly boys next door. The kind of music that lifts you up when you are out of it and your happy moments feel even brighter. We want to be recalled as [having] This kind of presence.
