Boy arrested for giving a pistol to a teenager who killed the daughter of the Bronx with a wandering ball

A boy sought to give to a bronx teenager murder suspects that the weapon used to shoot a 16 -year -old innocent girl was arrested on Monday, police sources said.

The boy was followed at the home of a family friend on E. 166th St. near Tinton Ave., about two houses in the south of the murder scene, and placed in police custody. He has not yet been charged.

Police have been looking for him since Evette Jeffrey was struck by a wandering ball on Monday afternoon in a shooting linked to a gang at Home St. and Tinton Ave.

The next day, police arrested a 14 -year -old boy for murder – and said he was still looking for the suspect who gave the gunman’s gunman.

NYPD’s detective chief Joseph Kenny said violence had been launched by an earlier fist involving the shooter.

This confrontation was between two local street gangs, Kod – Kreep on Davidson – and enemy – Forest on everything, said Kenny.

The shooter was involved in an “old school fight” in the school courtyard there and “was the winner of the fight,” said Kenny.

But while he and his friends left a footbridge near the school courtyard at 5 p.m. Monday, a rival that is not involved in the previous dust run and hit the shooter in the face.

When the shooter has fallen to the ground since the punch, his friend exceeded him a weapon.

The shooter opened fire with this weapon, targeting the puncture but striking Evette in the head instead.

“The victim was not involved,” Kenny said about Evette. “She was an innocent passer -by who was just trying to cover herself behind a brick wall and was hit by one of the rounds.”
