Boxing: Claressed Shields closed the MMA career door after three fights

The world boxing champion Claressed Shields said she “finished” with mixed martial arts after participating in three fights with the PFL.
Shields, 30, is undefeated in boxing and a multiple undisputed champion, but has fought sporadically in MMA since 2021, reaching a dossier of 2-1.
Her latest fight MMA was a victory over Kelsey de Santis and the American says she will now focus on boxing.
“It was fun, but I don’t have enough time to train. It takes six to eight months just to prepare to defend withdrawals. Even if I improved a lot and I broke my arm.,, external.
“I’m already great in boxing, and to be great like that in MMA, I should train regularly for at least three to four years.
“I succeeded very well in MMA. It was fun, but it was too difficult.”
Shields took a two and a half year break between his second and third MMA fights.
The Michigan native recently added the undisputed truck title to her world title collection.
Shields has become world champion in five different weight classes and is undefeated in 16 fights.
The Olympic gold medalist said she had ambitions to become MMA world champion, but admitted that her family wanted them to focus on boxing.
“My family never wanted me to do it,” she added.
“I did it because I wanted to prove a point, and I have proven this point to myself three times, although you can say twice because I have won twice.”
