What “offensively worded” message of support for ICE was displayed on the SJ Sharks jumbotron?

The Jumbotron at the SJ Sharks’ arena, SAP Center, displayed an externally submitted message in support of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency.
The message read:
“SJ SHARKS FANS LOVE ICE CREAM!! GET EM’ BOYZ!”
U.S. law enforcement agencies have been cracking down and arresting illegal immigrants under the orders of President Donald Trump.
The controversial post was submitted by a fan, which the organization is currently investigating. The franchise released a public statement following the team’s 3-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
“During the first intermission of tonight’s game, an offensive message that had been submitted externally was inadvertently posted on the arena scoreboard. Sharks Sports & Entertainment deeply regrets that this message, which does not align with our organization’s values, was not detected during our standard review process. The Sharks organization sincerely apologizes for this oversight and we are actively working to determine the origin of the message. “
The ICE crackdown has drawn mixed reactions in the United States. Although Trump supporters spearheaded the push to deport illegal immigrants, many have protested law enforcement operations; the most recent rally took place in downtown Portland on October 19, with hundreds of people gathering in front of ICE offices.
