It’s official! The Hannah Asher Dr. Jessy Schram) is six weeks pregnant in her first child, and the news concerning the small size was confirmed. Dr Dean Archer (Steven Weber), you’re the father!
I know that it is not a new one that many fans wanted to be true, but they both seem to manage it well and agreed to copare this baby as an older. The couple was challenged during the first in season 11 of tonight, with misunderstandings, secrets and a confusion that take up the ED of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, with Asher’s uterus at the center of all this.
Much of the drama comes from Asher who chooses not to share her news from pregnancy with her colleagues. They are people she sees every day, many of whom have noticed, of course, that something is different about her. When rumors are distributed without confirmation, this leads to poor communication. This is how the word did Ripley (Luke Mitchell) that his ex-girlfriend is pregnant, and moreover, the incorrect information that he was going to be a father. He was excited by the perspective and everything, before Aeher opened his time with Archer, after she and Ripley had already broken.
Please do not feel too bad for Ripley, however, because he returned to Sadie (Holly Curran), that he saved from a well in season 10. The showrunner of the Allen Macdonald series said they knew all season 10 where they went with the script for Asher and Archer in season 11. The turning point, he confirms, goes back to last season in the 17th episode “The Book of Archer”, when future parents would give in to their attraction.
“They sleep together, and they don’t regret it. They have had a good time right now, but I imagine that the next morning or the next day, they had a conversation on what all this means. Can happen, or are we better as an older? And they decided that they were better as an older,” said Macdonald.
“I think that from that moment, they have become again in their previous dynamics, until Hannah presents himself at the door of Archer [in the Season 10 finale]. So, in season 11, we now have this dynamic where there is nothing more intimate than having a child together. What does that mean for them? What does this mean for the feelings they have for each other? And how these feelings will move and change over the season. Where it ends, I will certainly not say, but there is this push and the traction and the tension of the season, “he continued.
This moment of bad communication between Asher and Archer in the first leads to an honest conversation. Archer is turned upside down that Asher did not tell their colleagues at the work of her pregnancy, thinking that she was ashamed that he was the father. Meanwhile, that was not part of Asher’s dilemma with the sharing of news. She was simply dealing with insecurity and doubts of her own.
If they continue to manage the dilemmas that they will face with such opening, attention and understanding, whether lovers or friends, they are fine.
“I think that, emotionally, there is a link between Archer and Hannah, and it is certainly something that we are going to explore as the season goes.
