Bad Bunny, Karol G and Fuerza Regida were the biggest winners at the Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday. The annual event included special tributes to Bad Bunny, Elvis Crespo, Laura Pausini and Peso Pluma, and saw the return of Daddy Yankee to the stage.
Bad Bunny has won 11 awards, including Entertainer of the Year; Global Latin Artist of the Year 200; and Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Male. Her album’s title track “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” won three trophies, including Streaming Song of the Year, while the album was named Best Latin Album of the Year. He was also recognized as the Best Latin Artist of the 21st Century by Billboard, an award he received from Rita Moreno.
Karol G won six awards, including Female Artist of the Year in Latin Songs. His single “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” won four awards, including 200 World Latin Song of the Year; Latin Broadcast Song of the Year; sales song of the year and tropical song of the year.
Fuerza Regida won five awards as Regional Mexican Artist of the Year, either as a duo or group, and won two awards for her hit “Tu Boda” with Óscar Maydon, which won Regional Mexican Song of the Year and Hot Latin Song of the Year, Vocal Event.
Other notable winners included Shakira, who won three awards, including Tour of the Year; Latin Pop Artist of the Year, Solo and Latin Pop Song of the Year for “Soltera,” as well as Peso Pluma, Netón Vega and Óscar Maydon, who each won two trophies.
The ceremony was hosted by Elizabeth Gutiérrez, Goyo and Javier Poza.
