The assignment of Toronto Blue Jays for Sunday afternoon is clear when they face the Tampa Bay Rays visiting the last game of the regular season.

If the Blue Jays (93-68) win, they will finish first in the American League East. If they stumble, a loss of New York Yankees would also work for them.

Toronto and New York are tied at the top of the division, but the Blue Jays hold the equality break because they won the season series between the 8-5 teams.

The Blue Jays won their third consequence on Saturday 5-1 on the Rays (77-84) with the right-hander of the Trey YesAvnium recruit by launching five goals aimless for his first victory at his third start of the major career league.

“Really impressive for a 22 -year -old who started the year in (class A),” said Toronto director John Schneider. “He showed us that he could launch in large places, and he appreciated the moment. He made large grounds and picked up our defense.”

The Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-1 on Saturday to keep the pace of Toronto but need help from Tampa Bay.

Toronto plans to entrust the Potential Holder game to right-handed Kevin Gausman (10-11, 3.47 ERA). Gausman has an 8-9 sheet with an MPM of 3.91 in 25 career games (23 departures) against the Rays. It is 0-1 with an MPM of 5.40 against them in two starts this season.

The shelves should start the left-handed left Ian Seymour (4-2, 2.85). He granted an unpaid race in seven in rounds on September 17 against Toronto during the home victory of Tampa Bay.

He will face a confident opponent.

“There has been confidence in this group, myself and coaches staff since the first day,” said Schneider. “And now it comes down to a match to win the division. I think that if we focus on our game, everything will be fine. We were really good at these games on 161, so I don’t expect it to change for 162.”

The inner field player Ernie Clement, whose double of two points opened the scoring in second three Saturdays, said: “There is no doubt in our minds that we can win a world series.

“I think we have the pieces,” he added. “We have the mentality.”

The Toronto recipient, Alejandro Kirk, broke a drought of 0 for 24 with a home run in the seventh Saturday.

Seymour, who made his major league debut on June 9, will do his fifth departure and his 19th appearance.

“Looking back over the year and where I started and where I am finished, being here is just something that I am very grateful,” said Seymour. “I’m going to put everything I have to go into the off -season on a good note.”

The first Ray basic player, Jonathan Arianda, is looking forward to Sunday. He came back from a left wrist fractured on Friday in Homer during his first At-Bat and again went on Saturday.

“It’s going to be really fun and pleasant,” said Aranda. “The Blue Jays are playing the baseball of the playoffs right now. Same thing with the Yankees.”

Yandy Diaz de Tampa Bay was 1 for 2 Saturdays and left the match with an average of the stick of .300. He may not play Sunday.

Tampa Bay is three stolen bases unless you match the 194 team record set in 2009.

“We have a team that was built with great speed,” said Rays manager Kevin Cash. “Our guys have done a good job to make better decisions on the basics than in the past.”
