The legal battle of Blake Lively with the co-star of “IT ends with us” Justin Baldoni threw a projector on his friendship with Taylor Swift, including new assertions that put pressure on pop star to get involved in the legal issue.

A week after media speculation emerged that Swift had been assigned to appear in the actors’ trial, which combines the previous pursuit of Lively, alleging sexual misconduct by the case, Baldoni and Baldoni lawyers sent a letter from the New York Times for May 14 to May 14.

At the end of April, Baldoni lawyers filed a notice of intention to soften LLP Venable, a national law firm which represented Swift in the past (especially in its sexual assault trial in 2015 against DJ Radio David Mueller), according to additional court documents deposited before the American district court in the South District of New York on May 13.

In the letter of May 14 to judge Liman, the Baldoni legal team – managed by lawyer Bryan Freedman – postponed the complaint of Lively according to which the assignment seeks “unrelevant information”. Lawyers have declared that the order can shed light on the “falsification of witnesses”, including the alleged communications of Lively with Swift and its legal team.

Baldoni lawyers, which would have been in contact with a “source which is very likely to have reliable information”, says Lively asked Swift to delete their text messages. In addition, Lively’s lawyer Michael Gottlieb, allegedly contacted a venable lawyer representative Swift and demanded to publish a “declaration of support” for Lively in the middle of his legal battle with Baldoni.

According to allegations of Baldoni lawyers, Gottlieb’s request for a statement included the threat that private SMS between women are released if Swift did not be satisfied.

USA Today contacted the Swift representative to comment.

Baldoni lawyers argue that the assignment would allow them to obtain these communications, including an alleged written message from the Swift representative who responds to the request for public support from Lively. The actor’s legal team added that such communications would show “an attempt to intimidate and forced a collector’s witness in this dispute”.

Blake Lively’s lawyer denies the complaints of Taylor Swift

In a declaration of May 14 in USA Today, lawyer Michael Gottlieb denied that the “false” claims of Baldoni “, categorically false” said that Lively put pressure on Swift and his legal team to support.

“We unequivocally refuse all these so-called allegations, which are loose to supposed anonymous sources, and completely without attachments of reality,” said Gottlieb. “This is what we expect from the lawyers for Wayfarer’s parties, which seem to like nothing to shoot first, without any evidence, and without taking care of the people they harm in the process.”

The Baldoni media production company, Wayfarer Studios, is listed as part of the current and Lively trial.

In addition, the lawyers of Lively filed an opposing request asking the court to throw the letter of May 14, calling the file “without foundation”, as well as “useless, inappropriate and abusive”.

Taylor Swift spokesperson criticizes the request for assignment

The requested order would require venable to disclose all communications related to cases with Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, which is also a party in the trial, as well as the relevant documentation and lawyer’s communications on Lively, according to legal documents.

In response, Venable filed a request on May 12 aimed at canceling the assignment, that the legal team of Lively and Reynold joined. The A-List couple also filed their own intermediate request to eliminate the request for assignment.

In a declaration of May 9 at USA Today Network, a Swift spokesperson underlined the singer’s minimum involvement with the film by Lively and Baldoni “It Ends With Us”.

“Since his involvement was to allow a song for the film, which 19 other artists have also done, this document is softened is designed to use the name Taylor Swift to draw the public interest by creating clicks of tabloid instead of focusing on the facts of the case,” said the representative.
