Call of Duty Black Ops 7 was recently announced in the Xbox Games Showcase 2025 Livestream. This was followed by an official trailer being downloaded on the main YouTube channel of Call of Duty. The trailer begins with Mason welcomed in a futuristic guild office. This is a massive surprise announcement for the whole community, because no information on this version was provided before the Xbox event.

Raul Menendez returns to Call of Duty Black Ops 7 alongside David Mason
David Mason is presented in the trailer by talking to the CEO of the guild. The character follows a butterfly in a screen, and the scene quickly moves to a dystopian future plagued by destruction. The trailer moves to a view of the urban landscape, then offers fans an overview of Menendez river crushing the same butterfly in his hands. The character offers a powerful dialogue and says:
“Fear is a powerful thing, David Mason.”

The trailer then moves to Mason in the combat equipment and ends with the title screen. A short assembly of different maps and modes is presented, referring to several new features and game articles coming to Warzone as well as a new potential zombie mode. The official description of the Teaser on the YouTube channel of Call of Duty confirms that the game will take place in 2035 and featured David Mason at the head of a team and will fight to prevent the world from collapsing in full chaos.
It is important to note that the exact release date was not confirmed for Black Ops 7 when writing this article. Developers will probably publish more detail trailers in the future, closer to the official launch date of the game.
