Big Ten players find it difficult to identify Regie Bush from 2005

If you are old enough to remember Reggie Bush overlooking sport and claiming the 2005 Heisman Trophy, what you are about to see could cause you a slight discomfort.
During the Big Ten Media Days last week in Las Vegas, the CBS Sports social team asked various league players to identify Bush from a 2005 photo of him after winning the Heisman trophy.
The results were … painful.
“It looks like LeBron James,” Wisconsin The Jake Renfro center said.
“Is it Adrian Peterson?” Oregon Asked the secondary Bryce Boettcher.
“I was like 2 when it happened”, Nebraska Offensive line player Henry Lutovsky said. “Come on, guy.”
Oh.
Give Rutgers Crédit Dariel Djabome Secondr. He knew who he was looking at, he just didn’t have the name immediately available. It’s probably better than “LeBron James”.
Bush is one of 8 old USC The players won a Heisman trophy. No other FBS program has won anymore.
The native of California was an All-American 2 times and a player of the year PAC-10 twice. He finished fifth in the Heisman vote during the 2004 season – his quarter -arre, Matt Leinart, won that year – and made everyone’s problem the following season.
In 13 games as a junior, Bush ran for 1,740 yards and 16 affected while bringing 478 reception yards and 2 additional scores. It has an average of 8.7 yards per race. He also returned 28 kicks, with an average of 17.6 yards per return, and brought back a boot of release to the house for a touchdown.
Bush continued to be the second overall choice of NFL 2006 draft. He spent 11 seasons in the NFL, during which he totaled 10,017 versatile yards and marked 58 affected. He won the Super Bowl XLIV with the saints and was inducted into the renowned temple of the saints in 2019.
But how does it all affect LeBron’s inheritance? It is the real question.
Derek Peterson does a bit of everything, a bit like Taysom Hill. He covered Oklahoma, Nebraska, PAC-12, and now offers content on the CFB scale.
