The Ba *** DS de Bollywood by Aryan Khan “Insult in the national honor”: the case of Sameer Wankhede is more than a personal defamation

The former NCB officer, Sameer Wankhede, continued Aryan Khan and Shah Rukh Khan for having diffammed and parody in the Web series of Aryan, the Ba *** DS of Bollywood.
Former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) narcotics chief, Sameer Wankhede, has dragged Aryan Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in a defamation case. Wankhede claims that Aryan’s first web series, the Bollywood Ba *** DS, published on Netflix last week, broadcasts him by modeling a character on him. However, defamation is not the only accusation that the former NCB NCB manager against the show and its manufacturers. He also maintains that the show “insulted national honor”.

Bollywood Ba *** DS is a satire on Bollywood. In episode 1, an unnamed narcotics cop is shown by stopping an actor from the outside of an party to simply stand next to someone who smokes marijuana. Viewers noted that the actor had a physical resemblance to Wankhede, who sadly arrested the creator of the program Aryan Khan for drug accusations in 2021. Aryan was finally rid of all the accusations, and Wankhede is the subject of an investigation.
In his costume, Wankhede lightens: “This series diffuses a misleading and negative representation of the anti-application agencies of the law, thus eroding public confidence in the institutions of application of the law.” He asked for relief in the nature of a permanent and compulsory injunction, declaration and damages against the production house, Netflix and others, adding that it had been injured by a false malicious and defamatory video. The prosecution was filed against Red Chillies Entertainment PVT Ltd., the production house belonging to the Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan and his wife, Gauri Khan. Red Chillies produced the show, which marks Aryan’s first foray into cinema.
‘The show insults national honor’
However, defamation is only part of the case against the show. Wankhede also indicated a later case in the same scene where the cop is seated in his van and said `Satyamev Jayate ”, to which another character gives him a boost, before changing it into a salvation of the middle finger (a gesture showing a lack of respect or a condemnation). The prosecution said that the law constitutes a serious and sensitive violation of the provisions of the 1971 law on the prevention of insults in the national honor, which attracts criminal consequences under the law.
In his trial, Sameer Wankhede asked for damage ₹2 Brood to put back to Tata Memorial Cancer hospital for the treatment of cancer patients.
Neither Netflix nor Red Chillies have so far reacted to the costume. The High Court of Delhi should soon hear the case.
