Bengals sign two quarters after having crushed earthworks injuries

The Bengals of Cincinnati go with Jake Browning, for the moment, as a quarterrier starting from the news on overwhelming injuries concerning Joe Burrow, but they made two additions to the most important position of the game.

Burrow is expected to miss three months after having undergone an injury to the Grade 3 lawn toe, which will require surgery, during the Bengals 31-27 week 2 victory against Jacksonville jaguars.

The touch of a browning rod with 18 seconds to play assured this victory in a match which saw him launch two affected and three interceptions. Despite the triumph, the hopes of the Bengals to compete seriously in the AFC have decreased considerably with Burrow, who led the NFL in the yards and the touched last season, for at least 11 games.

Bengals seem to hope that browning can produce sufficient consistency to keep them in the mixture after a start 2-0. Brett Rypsum is the only other quarter in the active list, but the Bengals added two to the training team in the form of Mike White and Sean Clifford.

White started seven games in her NFL career, winning two, with his first victory against Bengals in 2021.

Clifford, a choice of fifth round of Penn State by the Packers of Green Bay in 2023, presented three games, but never tried a pass in his professional career.

Bengals face the Vikings of Minnesota on the road on Sunday.
