EXCLUSIVE: Ben Zand faces a monthly YouTube series by focusing on “an extraordinary or collective person” by episode.
Human Will explore subjects with districts afflicted with gangs in Chicago, exclusive access to prison in Colorado, the Israeli-Gaza conflict, distant communities in Central Africa and white cities in South Africa.
The episodes will be launched monthly on Youtube from September. Indie Zandland de Zand fully funded the show, a decision which, according to India, shows that Zandland wishes to “bypass the traditional guards and deliver the type of documentary which he thinks that the world needs at the moment, directly to his audience”.
The past credits of filmmaker-producer Zand include the Bafta nominated Cradle And The cult of conspiracy: Qanon.
Zand said Human “Is a series that you would never see on television.” “”Human is an important step in the history of Zandland. With this series, we give the public raw and not filtered access to communities and conversations that they would never see normally-not for sensation, but to humanize in an increasingly divided global society, “he added.
Zand appears this morning on stage in the opening debate at the Edinburgh TV Festival, which started yesterday.
