Ben Simmons looking for a contract above the minimum in 2025 NBA Free Agency

Ben Simmons would look for a contract above the minimum of the league while he enters a free agency of NBA 2025 by AthleticsThe Murray law.
Simmons saw a limited action for the Los Angeles clippers after an exchange of mid-season of Brooklyn Nets, with an average of only 8.4 minutes per game during the short playoff series while scoring a total of four points in five games.
With Simmons entering the free agency and would have sought an agreement above the minimum, it is unlikely that the clippers will make a strong offer after it is almost out of the rotation by the end of the season. One movement elsewhere seems likely, with the potential of a better opportunity and a better contract from another team.
“He is a free agent. He finally disappeared completely from the rotation for the mowers. I do not expect him to return,” said Murray. “If it comes back, it would be on a very low number … You need someone who is a threat on both sides of the ball.”
Simmons had a rocky past with a handful of teams due to injuries and conservations.
He was sidelined in consecutive seasons with end -of -season back injuries in 2023 and 2024 while the Nets, before being canceled by the team before the deadline last season. He signed a rest contract with the Clippers on February 10.
In 51 games between the two teams, Simmons collected an average of 5.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists while firing 52.0% on the field while making an average of 22 minutes.
While he enters his seventh year of the League, a potential landing point seems to be the Raptors of Toronto, with Michael Grange de Sportsnet connecting the leader of 6’10 “to the franchise.
