Belly Laughs Comedy and Food Festival reveals times for 2025

EXCLUSIVE: Deadline has fixed hours for the very first festival of comedy and belly gastronomy, taking place in the city center in Live this weekend.

Presented by Partners Cape, Nederlander Concerts, La Live, Gold House and Mama’s Nightmarket, the Belly Laughs Festival is presented as a celebration of Asian-American culture which honors the way they mix, influence each other and are inspired to create something completely new: a third unique culture. From July 12 to 13, participants will be able to see 30 actors and eat more than 20 sellers of food and drinks organized by the Mama night market.

The artists play Nimesh Patel, Jonnie Park (aka Dumbfoundead), Zarna Garg, Kumail Nanjiani, Joel Kim Booster, Margaret Cho, Bobby Lee and Hasan Minhaj, to name a few.

In a joint declaration alongside Cape Volunteer and Festival Productor, VIV Wang, CEO and executive director of Cape, Michelle Sugihara, explained the origins of the festival: “We wanted to celebrate how the American Asian community contributes not only to our culture, but how the immigrant experience is in the DNA of American history. We hope everyone will be released this weekend for big laughs and big foods in Down Los.
