BCCI Lodges of complaints with the ICC against Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan for provocative gestures

If Pakistan beats the Bangladesh tonight, it will be another match India vs Pakistan, this time in the final of the 2025 Asian Cup on Sunday.
Fans were delighted with the cricket action on appearance when the two parties met. On the contrary, the Super 4 match of the Asian Cup between India and Pakistan fell into controversy, the behavior of Pakistani players taking the spotlight for all bad reasons. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has now received an official complaint from the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) against Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan of Pakistan for what he describes as “provocative and unacceptable gestures” made during the match.
RAUF, Farhan under ICC scanner
According to PTI, the BCCI complaint was filed on Wednesday September 24 and the ICC recognized the same reception. If Rauf and Farhan deny the accusations, they will probably be faced with an audience before the referee of the elite ICC panel, Richie Richardson. The gestures of the two players, taken care of and widely disseminated on social networks, were not linked to the cricket and were very political.
RAUF, Pakistan’s strike stimulator, would have imitated the reduction of an airplane, a gesture considered to be mocking the military operations of India. He also launched abuses to young Indian openers Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma during his fate. In addition, Rauf was the one who also chanted 6-0 even during the training session on the eve of the Super Four confrontation and also while aligning the boundary strings. The 6-0 is a reference to the baseless affirmations of Pakistan according to which they had shot down six Indian fighter planes during the four-day fight following Operation Sindoor.
Sahibzada Farhan, meanwhile, succeeded in a celebration of “shooting” after reaching his half-century, raising his bat like a machine gun. Given what happened between the two countries earlier this year, his celebration was quite provocative. Farhan even continued to assert that he does not care about the way people would perceive his celebration, saying to journalists: “This celebration was only a moment at that time. I don’t care the way people take it.
If the players do not defend their actions, they could face sanctions under the CPI conduct code.
Mohin Naqvi Gradure Post
The row has increased, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) fileing its own complaint against the captain of India Suryakumar Yadav. The PCB alleys that the post-match comments of Surya, dedicating the victory of India to the armed forces engaged in the Sindoor operation and expressing solidarity with the victims of the terrorist attack of Pahalgam, were of a political nature.
In addition, another unnecessary drama took place late at night on September 24. The president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Mohin Naqvi, who also directs the PCB and serves as an interior minister of Pakistan, published a cryptic video by Cristiano Ronaldo who also made. It was quite obvious what Naqvi tried to offer. Perhaps the analogy of deep dasgupta of the “childish” nature of the Pakistani cricket players is correct.
