Bayern Munich was supposed to be furious against the summer transfer saga of Nick Woltemade because they finally missed his signature in Newcastle United.
The talented Young Germany International ended up moving to St James’ Park, giving Eddie Howe an ideal replacement for the departure of Alexandre Isak.
However, he looked for some time as Woltemade could go to Bayern instead, and it seems that the Bavarian giants are still raging in the way it happened.
It is according to journalist Danny Kelly on the Podcast View of the Lane, because he explained that Woltemade probably chose not to go to Bayern because of the presence of Harry Kane in advance.
Bayern Munich furious to be beaten to the transfer of Nick Woltemade
Discussing Woltemade and his situation this summer, Kelly said: “Everything I’m going to say about it very quickly, and to speak to my colleagues on Trans Europe Express [podcast]Bayern Munich is out of them with Fury that Nick Woltemade went to Newcastle.
“They thought he would be automatically directly in the Bayern team, but part of the reason why he was not going, of course, because he knew that he would not have playing time at the front [ahead of Harry Kane]. He wants to play as an attacker, and he did not go to Munich for this exact reason.
“Munich is therefore furious against himself and the boy for having allowed this situation to develop.”
Newcastle fans will surely be delighted to hear this because they have clearly debated a great talent.
If a high -level European giant like Bayern wanted Woltemade so much, it gives you an idea of the quality it could end up being.
So far, the 23 -year -old has a goal in four appearances for the Magpies, but after a little more time to settle, he should prove to be a really useful option in advance.
