BADLANDS introduces a Xenomorph or configures ALIENS VS. PREDATOR? SPOILERS Follow

The first screenings of Predator: Badlands took place last night, and while any real spoilers have yet to surface online, we now know if the film features an appearance from Xenomorphs.
There are good reasons to believe this; Predator: Killer The Killers included some visual nods to the Stranger the franchise’s iconic protagonists, and this film should, of course, feature a Weyland-Yutani android in a leading role.
We’ve already told you if it’s worth sticking around for a post-credits scene, but should you expect to see a Xenomorph at any point in Predator: Badlands?
Unfortunately, the movie doesn’t present Xenomorphs and, from what we have been told, there is also nothing that directly establishes a possible Alien versus predator movie.
This isn’t really surprising, as filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg recently said: “There’s no Xenomorph in this movie. But to me, that makes it more exciting. We’re not implying [the Alien franchise] just to mix the figures together. There are great organic reasons for Weyland-Yutani to be in this movie. ยป
Explaining how the android Thea comes into play in this story, he added: “Thia has been on Genna for a while, seeing things she wouldn’t normally see. She’s absorbing all this new information, and she’s broken too, so she’s become very different from the other synths.”
Predator: Badlands being a largely self-contained tale isn’t the worst idea, and it seems like Trachtenberg will continue to tell stories in this world that, despite a certain level of connectivity, aren’t necessarily part of a grand narrative arc.
Predator: killer of killers teased a possible crossover with characters from the franchise, and while Alien versus predator This seems like a strong possibility at some point, both could still be a ways off.
The film, which stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, is set in the future on a distant planet, where a young predator (Schuster-Koloamatangi), excluded from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning) and embarks on a perilous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
Dan Trachtenberg directs and produces Predator: Badlands alongside John Davis, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt and Brent O’Connor.
Predator: Badlands opens exclusively in theaters November 7 on IMAX, Dolby Cinema, Cinemark XD, 4DX, ScreenX and on premium screens worldwide.
