Bad Bunny concludes the residence of Puerto Rico with Marc Anthony

Bad Bunny closed his residence of 31 dates “No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí” in El Choli to Puerto Rico with a special appearance by none other than Marc Anthony. Saturday evening, the pair of Puerto Rican artists interpreted a powerful duo of “Preciosa” – an anthemic ballad which serves as a sincere ode to the island.
“I haven’t sang this song for over 20 years,” said Bad Bunny, just before Anthony goes on stage to a thunderous roar of the crowded arena. Originally composed in 1937 by Rafael Hernández Marín, “Preciosa” was then popularized by Anthony and was considered one of the many unofficial national hymns of Puerto Rico.
As they embarked on the song, Anthony headed for Bad Bunny and pulled him in an emotional embrace. The two stood closely, the heads pressed together, whispering words only that they could hear.
For the special show “Una Más” (“One More”), Bad Bunny also highlighted other local favorites, notably Dei V, ñengo Flow, Arcángel, Ghetto and Rainao. Chuwi joined it for their collaboration “Wellita”, on which they played together every evening of the three -month residence.
Jowell’s reggaeton pioneer duo and Randy was appointed about 10 minutes to sing their own successes. In total, the concert lasted about four hours.
The show was broadcast live in the world on Amazon Music and Twitch Channels worldwide. Performance will also be available to replay on the platform for 24 hours after the broadcast on Saturday evening.
Based on the momentum, Amazon Music and Bad Bunny announced a largely focused initiative on the propulsion of education, cultural empowerment and economic development to create a significant change in Puerto Rico.
The programs will provide an enriched STEM study program, technological resources and support for education for students and teachers, as well as initiatives to help farmers and improve access to fresh products.
