The Marlins took two of the three in Anaheim this weekend and won six of their last 10 games, but they already have 12 games in the division and eight games on a joker. The racing differential under 75 from Miami is the fourth worse of baseball. They rank 16th in ops (0.704), 29th in the era of rotation (5.65) and 25th in the era of listers (4.91). The Marlins made the playoffs last time in a traditional season in 2023 (84 victories) to lose 100 games last year.
San Diego Padres (29-22, 3rd at NL West)
Taking two of the three in Atlanta helped the Padres take a six -game game sequence of the season. The paadres are two games behind the Dodgers in the division and a match behind the Giants. The Padres took four of the six last year in Miami and have not lost a season series against the Marlins since 2019.

San Diego: DH Gavin leaves Hit four circuits and rolled in eight points during a 2-4 road trip. Marlins LHP Ryan Weathers (1-0, 1.80 ERA) | The former paadres, now 25, has not faced his former team since he granted five points in 3 rounds in 2023, after being exchanged in the agreement which introduced the 1B Garrett Cooper and the RHP Sean Reynolds in the organization. A forearm injury delayed Weathers’ beginnings in 2025 until mid-May. He only granted two solo circuits while removing nine against a 10 -round walking.
Parents RHP Randy Vásquez (3-4, 4.49 ERA) | It makes an average of 4.8 walks for nine rounds of the season, but it only walked two against 14 stick withdrawals during its last 16 sleeves (2.70 ERA). Vásquez did not start in his career against the Marlins, but he beat them with two points in 3 rounds in relief with the Yankees in 2023.

Marlins RHP Max Meyer (3-4, 4.15 ERA) | The third overall choice in 2020, the 26 -year -old has an MPM of 5.05 out of 119 ⅓ sleeves since its beginnings in 2025. Meyer has an MPM of 5.16 in four roads this year, removing 23 against 11 goals out of 22 rounds. He granted 10 points deserved during his last two departures on the road (10⅓ IP). Meyer beat the padres in his only departure against them, granting four points in 6⅓ sleeves last year.
Padres RHP Stephen Kolek (2-1, 2.84 ERA) | The lift of rule 5 converted granted eight points deserved during its last two departures (11 IP) after having opened the season with 14⅓ laundiff. Kolek has traveled a top of the three -round seasonal season, his last time. Kolek granted three points on three strokes in 1st sleeves success last year against the Marlins.

Marlins RHP Sandy Alcantara (2-7, 8.04 ERA) | The winner of NL Cy Young 2022 has a 42-point lap MLB-Worst 42 authorized since his return this season of Tommy John Plegery. Lefts (.854 OPS) were particularly difficult for Alcantara, which has been particularly bad on the road so far this season (12.64 ERA). Alcantara has an MPM of 2.84 in five career starts against the Padres, but he had an MPM of 5.54 in two departures against them in 2023 – after he won the Cy Young the previous season.
Parents RHP Nick Pivetta (5-2 2.72 ERA) | He has 14 sticks to the stick and two points deserved during his last two departures (12 IP). Pivetta has a 4-0 sheet with an MPM of 1.44 in five departures so far in Petco Park, while the left-handers have a .469 OPS so far this season compared to .683. Pivetta has an MPM of 4.62 in 60⅓ career sleeves against the marlins, including seven laundering rounds during which he withdrew 10 during a non-decision decision last year.

Miami: Rhp Eury Perez (Tommy John) is probably two rehabilitation that is starting to join the rotation. Ss Xavier EdwardsA former Padres prospect appears on the injured list with a back, although he can return this series. LHP Andrew Nardi (return) also approaches a return, while RHP Declan Cronin (hip) and Dane Myers (oblique) are probably released until June. OF Griffin Conine (shoulder) and LHP Braxton Garrett (UCL revision) will not return before 2026.
San Diego: Rhp Michael King Was placed on the injured list on Sunday after a shoulder problem arose after sleeping clumsy on it. The team hopes that it will only miss two departures. Rhp Yu darvish (Elbow) does not bounce back from his debut in rehabilitation as he hoped and has no calendar, while RHP Matt Waldron (oblique) launched 61 throws in a rehabilitation on Sunday for Double-A San Antonio. Rhp Bryan Hoeing (shoulder) is also in rehabilitation for Double-A, while inf MCCOY MASON (Finger) played two rehabilitation games with El Paso. Rhp Logan Gillaspie (oblique) has not yet started an rehabilitation assignment.
