Azerbaijan GP: Lewis Hamilton fastest for Fast Ferrari as Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri hit the walls of Baku in practice two | F1 News

Lewis Hamilton led an impressive Ferrari one-two while the Défalpiers du title McLaren Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri both hit the walls during a second dramatic training session at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Continuing a Friday generally full of incidents on the difficult Baku street track after a hectic opening session, Ferrari took advantage of it at the top of the time sheet while McLaren experienced an unusually stripped session.

The Norris brush with the barriers, at the four -year turn, turned out to be the most important, because the damage suffered on the arrival of his car prevented it from the rest of the session.

Piastri himself brushed the barriers shortly after, but was able to continue without delay, although he finished 12th faster afterwards after having finished a mild representative type.
