AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Trailer “strongly” says Doom while hiding a major detail

We recently got confirmation that the first trailer for Avengers: Apocalypse will debut in theaters next month before Avatar: Fire and Ashand a number of details about what fans can expect from our first look at the MCU’s next major event film have leaked over the past week.

Although this should all be considered rumor for now, it is possible spoilers follow.

We’ve heard that there are actually several different versions of the trailer, but the one expected to screen in December will reportedly feature plenty of footage of Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.).

The villain is said to have a classic “Universal Monster” vibe (we’ve also heard some comparisons to Phantom of the Opera), and while Doom will be “heavily featured,” it appears that a key detail relating to the character will be kept under wraps.

According to Christian Harloffwe will not see Doom’s face in this first trailer.

Saving some things for future trailers or the movie itself wouldn’t really be unusual, but given that everyone already knows that Doom is played by RDJ, it would be somewhat surprising if we didn’t get a teasing glimpse of the villain’s face.

It remains to be seen if Marvel Studios decides to release the teaser online at or around the same time it hits theaters, but they would be wise to do so, as the bootlegs for this one are certainly will go around.

Avengers: Apocalypse And Avengers: Secret Wars have recently experienced significant delays, with doomsday is now scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026, and Secret Wars positioned for December 17, 2027.

Both films will be directed by the Russo brothers, who are also returning to the MCU after directing Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War And Avengers: Endgame.
