AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Trailer Description Revealed; Each will focus on a different character

Whether an online release is planned remains a mystery, but with Avatar: Fire and Ash arriving in theaters this week, we’re just days away from a first look Avengers: Apocalypse.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that four previews will be released over four weeks, with the idea being to encourage MCU fans to watch James Cameron’s film. Avatar threequel several times. This seems to imply that these teasers will be theatrical exclusives, although Disney is clearly not sweating the inevitable bootlegs that will cover social media by the weekend.

It’s a marketing tactic that seems to have worked The Odysseyanyway, and now we have details on what to expect from the four Avengers: Apocalypse trailers.

Scooper @MyTimeToShineH revealed that each of them would take place from a character’s point of view, and later wrote on X that the first should revolve around Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom.

Reliable runtime and trailer leaker @Cryptic4KQual then countered this by saying they were wrong, prompting the insider to share not only a description of the trailer, but also details about the characters they will revolve around:

Oh, interesting, so they changed the order. Doom was supposed to begin. Okay, I have no reason to hide it then, otherwise people would think I was joking.

The four “trailers” aren’t really trailers, they’re four short scenes, each focusing on a different character. The one with Steve was originally supposed to be the third, but it looks like it will be the first now. It shows Steve riding his bike home. He has a little boy. There’s a tagline that says “Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday”, followed by “December 2026”, then a countdown.

Since they changed the order, I guess Thor will be second now.

So, Captain America, Thor, Doctor Doom and… well, we’ll have to wait and see. It won’t be long before we know if this is accurate, of course, and whether they love or hate the social media scooper scene, these online rumor mongers value their respective reputations. With that in mind, we can’t imagine the above being far removed from what we see in theaters.

If the first of Avengers: Apocalypse preview, it’s really just Steve Rogers coming home before we learn he and Peggy Carter have a son, so we don’t feel like we’re missing out Also a lot if an online release is not an option (they still have the potential to be quite epic).

Instead, it looks like the trailers – or “scenes” – will give some hints about what’s to come, while showcasing the roles that characters like Cap, Thor and Doom will play in this story. Considering we’re a year away from the film’s release, anything more might have been wishful thinking.

Avengers: Apocalypse is scheduled to be released on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars expected to arrive on December 17, 2027.
