AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY – Marvel reportedly has “crazy” things planned for 2026 revivals

Avengers: Apocalypse wrapped principal photography this time last month, but we know that “Kevin Feige and the Russo Bros. will be tinkering around as they prepare for a healthy dose of additional photography later.”

A member of the film’s stunt team took to social media to share a sneak peek at some new features. doomsday merch, a black hoodie and a green cap with the Avengers logo, along with a note thanking them for their work.

The Doctor Doom-themed card mentions that they’ve “crossed the finish line”, but the timing of the release has led to speculation that reshoots may already be in the works.

It would seem a little early to bring everyone back for additional photos when the film wrapped only a few weeks ago, and despite other scoopers claiming (guessing, rather) that the cameras are rolling again, Daniel Richtman is adamant that that’s not the case.

There are conflicting reports on when the new shots are is set to begin, but we’ve heard that Marvel may be considering waiting until early in the new year. We’ll be sure to share any updates as soon as we have them.

Avengers: Apocalypse And Avengers: Secret Wars have recently experienced significant delays, with doomsday is now scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026, and Secret Wars positioned for December 17, 2027.

Both films will be directed by the Russo brothers, who are also returning to the MCU after directing Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War And Avengers: Endgame.
