Antonia Gentry and Felix Mallard Unback Season 3 end

Note: This story contains spoilers of season 3 of “Ginny & Georgia”, episode 10.

Despite the break of Marcus d’Antonia Gentry, Ginny and Felix Mallard at the end of season 2 of “Ginny & Georgia”, their flame continues in season 3. But what Mallard calls a “massive corner” is between adolescents by the end of the season.

While Ginny confides in Marcus of the trial for murder of his mother and his abortion, season 3 sees Marcus hiding a problem of alcohol consumption which makes the eyebrows of his sister, Maxine (Sara Waisglass), as well as Georgia (Brianne Howey) when she spots a dozen empty bottles in his artistic studio and makes him “burn bridges”.

“He turns to an adaptation mechanism which, I think, initially helps him and gives him better confidence, and allows him to present himself and be the person he wants to be,” Mallard told Thewrap. “As he slowly loses a grip on it, and that rises on him, then we see these support systems around him being erode slowly and further.”

Mallard noted that the problem of Marcus consumption comes from “self -disgust”. “It comes from him not thinking that he deserves love and that he will damage those around him.”

While the creator of the Sarah Lampert series considers the relationship of Ginny and Marcus as having a “boy from a fun teenager”, she underlined the underlying current of the two characters struggling with their mental health in different ways, and being a safe space for others to do so. “What we see in season 2 with Marcus … He really says to Ginny:” I don’t have the bandwidth of being in a relationship right now … so I don’t think it’s just for you to be with me – I don’t agree “”, said Lampert.

Ginny is left in the dark about Marcus’ alcohol consumption to the final of season 3, when she finds it extremely poisoned – to the point of wetting the bed – after Maxine brought her back to the house of a party.

“I think she really sees an overview of what he really goes through and the trip he has in front of him,” said Lampert. “We see on Ginny’s face a little shock and fear … I think she finally realizes:” Marcus may not be wrong. “”

As we see Marcus again, he is in the car with his mother, Ellen (Jennifer Robertson), who finally seems to accept that Marcus needs help, and we can assume that Marcus heads for an establishment to obtain an official treatment for his alcoholism. “We still leave him in a state of denial, probably very warm wood, but not wanting to treat how self-destructive and violent,” said Mallard.

While Mallard notes that alcohol consumption creates a “huge corner” between Marcus and Ginny, Ginny sends it with a poem that Mallard describes as saying “I will always love you; I will always be there for you [and] I understand that you are dealing with this kind of thing.

“I think that for Marcus to go doing the work and returning to it with a feeling of self-esteem, and I hope to be able to return this love to Ginny, I hope they can reconcile,” said Mallard.

“They are so young, and … they have so much to learn and to grow until they become the people they need, that’s when I want to see them together,” said Gentry. “I love them both together and separately, but the protective actor in me, I want them to be in their best mental states as they can be, before meeting as a couple.”
