Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca, shared an update on the Talismanic star Cole Palmer before his return to the Premier League against Brentford.

The West Londoners were inflicted on several injuries last week, with news that Liam Delap will be released until November after having undergone an injury to the hamstring during the victory of the Chelsea derby against Fulham.

Although the summer signature did not need surgery and will immediately start rehabilitation on the problem, Delap should miss big games at the entrance to winter – including a Champions League confrontation against Bayern Munich, their confrontation against Liverpool and Chelsea’s trip to Tottenham.

Alongside Delap, his summer compatriot, Dario Essugo, underwent surgery on a thigh problem he suffered during the international break with the under 21 of Portugal, leaving Maresca One-Man lighter in the midfield.

The English international was excluded from the last team of Thomas Tuchel’s three Lions for their victories on Andorra and Serbia, Palmer breastfeeding a problem with the groin since the 5-1 victory from Chelsea to West Ham.

The 23 -year -old was injured in the groin in the warm -up and was then replaced in the programming by the Brazilian teenager Estevao, missing their creeping victory of the London stadium and their victory over Fulham.

Reliable sources indicate that Maresca was simply cautious with Palmer, and the telegraph journalist Matt Law suggested this week that the feeling of the former man could return against Brentford on Saturday.

“I was told not so long ago not to be too worried about Cole,” said the Blue London podcast law.

“Cole is really a management problem; being careful and sensible with him. I was hoping that he will be back after the international break and there is nothing to fear there.”

Now Maresca has provided an update during her last press conference in front of Brentford.

Addressing the media, the boss of Chelsea says that Palmer is to the touch for Brentford, with the attacker submitted to a late training session this afternoon which will determine if he is ready for his trip to the G-Tech community stadium.

Blueco’s best signature since the takeover in 2022 is worth every penny of the 42.5 million pounds sterling that they paid City to Palmer on the day of the summer deadline in 2023.

Palmer is an absolutely vital figurehead, accumulating 43 goals and 29 assists in nearly 100 appearances, and there is even a conviction that Chelsea can sometimes depend too much on him.

Last season, Palmer was once again their chief creator, ending the campaign with more penalty shootout and key passes by 90 on average than any other Chelsea player in the Premier League (Whoscored).

If it is not against Brentford, Palmer does not seem too far from full shape, and Maresca hopes that he can at least be able to his opening match in the Champions League against Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
