Aubrey Plaza says that sorrow is a giant ocean of horror ” after the husband’s suicide

Actress Aubrey Plaza said that life was “a daily struggle”, seven months after her husband, filmmaker Jeff Baena, committed suicide.
The writer, director and producer died in January at the age of 47.
Plaza spoke of the consequences for the first time in an interview on the podcast of its old parks and leisure Amy Poehler.
When asked how she felt, Plaza said “I think I’m fine” before comparing the sorrow to a “giant ocean of horror”.
“Sometimes I just want to dive into it and just like being in it,” she said. “So sometimes I look at him, and sometimes I try to get away. But, it’s always there.”
Plaza and Baena were married in 2021 after working on films, including the life of horror 2014 after Beth and the historic comedy 2017 The Little Hours.
He was found dead in his house in Los Angeles in early January.
At the start of their interview on the good hang podcast, Poehler asked Plaza how she was.
“In this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you,” she replied.
“Overall, I’m here and I work. I feel really grateful to go through the world. I think I’m fine, but it’s like a daily struggle, of course.”
The 41 -year -old American actress then talked about the film 2025 The Gorge to describe her sorrow.
This film features Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy like two elite shooters keeping the opposite sides of a mysterious deep abyss.
“It’s a really stupid analogy and it was a kind of joke at a certain point, but I think so. Have you seen this film The Gorge?” Plaza said.
“In the film, there is a cliff on one side and there is a cliff on the other side, then there is a throat between the two and it is filled with all these monsters that try to get them.
“I swear that when I looked at it, I looked like, it looks like my sorrow is, or what the sorrow could look like. At any time, there is a giant horrois ocean that is there.”
The couple separated in September 2024, according to the investigator of the Coroner of the County of Los Angeles.
Plaza has also played in the TV series The White Lotus and Marvel Agatha from the start, and spoke to promote her new film Honey Don’t!
Baena was best known for having written films like I Heart Huckabees from 2004, and to write and make Joshy in 2016, The Little Hours of 2017 and Horse Girl from the 2020s.
