Aubrey Plaza mourns the late husband Jeff Baena, compares the sorrow with “the throat”

It has been almost seven months since Aubrey Plaza lost her husband Jeff Baena to commit suicide and, unfortunately, happening is always a daily struggle for the star of “Parks and Recreation”.

The actress stopped by the Podcast “Good Hang” by Amy Poehler on Tuesday, where she spoke of her sorrow, rightly comparing her to “The Gorge” this year.

“You have had terrible and terrible tragic this year. You have lost your husband. You have treated with this and you looked for all the different ways of feeling and finding support,” said Poehler. “On behalf of all the people who feel known to you and the people who know you, how do you feel today?”

“In this very, very present moment, I feel happy to be with you,” replied Plaza. “I feel, overall, I am here and I work and I feel really grateful to move around the world. I think I’m fine. But, it’s a daily struggle, of course. “

“It’s like a really stupid analogy, and it was a kind of joke at a certain point, but I really think – have you seen this film” The Gorge? “” She asked. “It’s like an extraterrestrial film with Miles Teller, but in the film, there is a cliff on one side and then there is a cliff on the other side and then there is a throat between the two and it is filled with all these monsters that try to get them.”

“I swear that when I looked at it, I said to myself, which looks like my sorrow is – or what the sorrow could look like – at any time there is a giant ocean of the horror which is there and I can see it,” concluded Plaza. “Sometimes I just want to dive into it and be in it and sometimes I look at him and sometimes I try to move away from it, but it’s always there. It’s still there and the monsters try to get me, like Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy. ”

The independent filmmaker Baena was found dead in her house in Los Angeles in January at 47. His death was considered to be suicide.

“It is an unimaginable tragedy. We are deeply grateful to all those who have offered support,” shared Plaza and their families in an initial declaration. “Please respect our privacy during this period.”

The couple had been together since 2011, but kept their private marriage until 2021. They collaborated in almost all the films in Baena, including “Life After Beth”, “Joshy”, “The Little Hours” and “Spin ME Round”.
