Residents of San Rafael, California, were traumatized by vicious fauna. While the couguars, the coyotes or the large white sharks would be viable assumptions for the culprit, this time it was a less formidable predator.
The aggressor is an squirrel. The ferocious rodent has already sent two women to the emergency room, and someone in town was so worried about the creature, they hung posters warning the danger.

According to KTVU, Marin Humane Animal Shelter also received reports from two attacks, one on September 13 and one on September 14. The details of the attack align with incidents involving Campoy and Heblack, although their names have not been mentioned.
Lisa Bloch, director of marketing and communications of Marin Humane, suggests that the same squirrel was involved in the two reported attacks. The two occurred almost in the same place and he had a particular coloring, she said. The attacker has a caramel type color or a golden color, which is a little less common in rodents.

The good news is that, according to Bloch, the squirrels of the region do not transmit rabies. The bad news is that these attacks are probably due to which humans feed squirrels.
